COMPARISON OF STIGMA TOWARDS DEPRESSIVE PERSONS AND SELF-STIGMA IN STUDENTS HELPING NONHELPING PROFESSIONS The aim of the research was to examine differences in attitudes towards depressive persons and levels self-stigma students medical (nursing medicine; N=101) non-medical (social work psychology; N=98) helping professions non-helping (education, speech pathology social pedagogy; N=109). covariance analysis determined that, spite rarer actual contact with a smaller number courses teaching them about depression during course study, psychology had more positive than medicine nursing. Apart from they were better recognizing symptoms depression. Contrary three groups did not differ regard perceived stigma, which expressed comparison self-stigma. Additionally, showed pronounced professions. work, nursing, higher level shame at thought suffering depression, as well belief that could make contribution society if suffered
